Hello everyone!
It’s been a couple of weeks since we talked and a lot has happened in that time!
First, we were in beautiful Syracuse, NY for the Turning Stone Resort Championship. Except it wasn’t so beautiful. We had 45 to 50 degree weather with a constant rain every day we were there. It was so bad that the PGA Tour decide that the only way to get the tournament in was to play the ball up “through the green.” This means that everywhere except in hazards or bunkers, you could lift, …

Precision Golf School Head Instructor Simon McGreal outlasted 8 other competitors in a play-off to claim a spot in the field of the PGA Tour Wyndham Championship this week at Sedgefield County Club.  The Wyndham Championship qualifier, contested on the Champions Course at Bryan Park, featured 64 participants battling for 4 spots.
Simon played his final 4 holes in 2 under par, including a birdie on the fierce #18 to shoot 68 and get into what became a 9-way play-off for the final qualifying berth.  It took Simon three holes to …

It’s been a few weeks since you’ve heard from me, so here’s the update.

We finished off the West Coast Swing at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.  What a course!  Even though the greens were poa annua,  they were the most uniform ones I’ve ever seen.  Unfortunately, Troy didn’t have a good week on them and he missed the cut by one shot.  Crazy enough, he birdied 18 (probably the hardest hole on the course) both days.

Instead of going to Mexico, the next week was used for getting his RV …

Hello again from the road!

I’m here on the rainy Monterey peninsula getting ready for the AT&T National Pro-Am.  Got an early start this week due to the missed cut last week at Torrey Pines.  Not a big deal though, the greens were a nightmare.  Poa annua is not the ideal putting surface, especially when it goes from brick hard the first day to a sponge the second.  What a beautiful place though!  Some of the best views on the PGA Tour!

The previous week was in Phoenix for the biggest outdoor …

Hi, my name is Chris Mundorf and I have been a student of Robert Linville for the past 17 years.  I played collegiate golf at NC State University and have been playing professionally on many different tours for the past 7 years.  Recently, I took the job of caddie for Troy Matteson on the PGA Tour as a way to make money to further my career as a professional golfer.  As a bonus, I have been able to learn a lot about the Tour and its players.  Hopefully, I’ll get …
