Salisbury, NC (8/8/10) - Payne McLeod of Reidsville holed a 7-foot birdie on 18 to win the 1st North Carolina Amateur Championship 1-up over reigning North Carolina Amateur (stroke play) champion Ryan Heisey of Greensboro.  The event was contested at the Country Club of Salisbury. The finalists combined for a total of 13 birdies and an eagle in their 18-hole match.

Precision Golf School student and UNC Wilmington signee Payne McLeod has been named to the All-Carolinas Junior Team.  Payne is a resident of Reidsville and an 18-year-old senior at Reidsville High School.
The All-Carolinas Junior Team and Player of the Year awards are based upon a 12 event series of junior tournaments run by six associations that are the grassroots of junior golf in the Carolinas.  The three leading point’s recipients in each division (boys and girls) will be invited to the Carolinas Golf Association’s Annual Meeting and Golf Night on February …

Precision Golf School, Triad Youth Golf Foundation »

The 2009 Precision Golf Junior Boys Championships and the 2009 Precision Golf Junior Girls 11 & Under Championships will be held this weekend at Bryan Park.  We are exited to have over 100 juniors from across the region registered to compete! 
Lori Beth Adams of Burlington, NC claimed the 2009 Precision Golf Junior Girls Championship this past August.

Precision students Andy Knox and Payne McCleod battled for the NC Junior Championship today.  Andy, who finished 2nd last year, has been on a terrific roll this spring and summer.  Andy won the NC High School Invitational,  the Rex Jr, which qualified him for the Rex nationwide tournament, and now he adds the NC Junior. 
Precision Students now have won back to back NC Junior Championships, with Justin Clement claiming the title in 2008.     Results can be found at www.carolinasgolf.org.

Precision students Payne McCleod and Andy Knox advanced to the quarter-finals in the NC Junior played at Henderson CC.  The quarter-finals and semi finals are tomorrow with the finals being scheduled for Saturday.

Precision Golf Student and UNCG verball committee Andy Knox of Cary, NC claimed the Rex Junior Invitational Championship at the TPC of Wakefield this past Sunday.  Andy fired a 2 under par 69 to best the strong junior field and claiming the coveted Nationwide Tour exemption to the Rex Open this weekend.
