Charity Classic Pro Am, Triad Youth Golf Foundation »
Greensboro, NC. – August, 2010 – The Mike Goodes and Friends Charity Classic Pro Am is scheduled for Monday, September 27th. Building on the momentum of eight Champions Tour players joining the Charity Classic Pro Am this year, corporate sponsors have signed on to help the Triad Youth Golf Foundation’s initiative to support youth golf development in the community. Bruce Vaughan, winner of the 2008 Senior British Open, recently joins Mike Goodes and six other Champions Tour Professionals for this year’s event.

Greensboro, NC - August 17, 2010 - Malin Lundegard made a hole in one playing for her team at Northwest High School on Tuesday. Lundegard, a Precision Golf student of Chris Haarlow, is the first female golfer to make an ace for the Northwest Vikings during the girls’ high school golf season. She hit an 8 iron 123 yards at the Farm Course at Greensboro Country Club to help the lady vikings.

Mike Goodes comes to the Charity Classic Pro Am this year and brings with him six PGA Champions Tour players to raise money for the Triad Youth Golf Foundation and the Mike Goodes Scholarship Fund.

Holly Spring, NC (8/8/10) - 54 holes after the tournament began, Precision student Emily Brooks found herself wrapping up 2nd place in the 6th Annual Dogwood State Championship. The event was played at The Club at 12 Oaks in Holly Springs, NC. Brooks, a student of Robert Linville, made up six shots on winner Sarah Bae’s 36 hole lead after the final round of even par 72.

Lexington, NC - July 12, 2010 - Precision Golf Students, Katherine Perry and Taelor Rubin qualified for the US Women’s Amateur Championships this past Monday. Perry, a student of Robert Linville, shot a 68 to finish 1st in the qualifier. Rubin, a PGS student, placed 3rd in the qualifying to claim a spot in the US Women’s Amateur Championship after shooting a 72.

Southern Pines, NC - July 11 - Precision Golf student, Casey Ward, had an outstanding showing at the Big “I” Qualifying tournament this weekend at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club. Shooting 70-70 for a 2 under 140 to win the tournament, Ward will now advance into the Big “I” championship field. PGS student and Peggy Kirk Bell Tour alumni , Brianna Clemmons, earns All-America Scholar honors in her first season at Gardner Webb. Clemmons, a native of Oak Ridge, excelled at Northwest Guilford High School as a four year letter winner and state champion.
Clemmons played in five events for GWU on the season. She carded a three round score of 257, +44 at the 2009 UNCG Starmount Fall Classic in the fall, and finished tied for 20th-place with a score of 244, +28 at the 2010 Winthrop Intercollegiate in the spring. She also …

Greensboro, NC. - Precision Golf School Head Instructor, Jeff Crittenden, is making his way to the top in Long Drive competitions. Crittenden was recently crowned champion of the Los Cabos Long Drive Classic in late May. In the final round of the match play bracket, Crittenden crushed the ball 417, 420 and finally 425 to win the tournament. He has gone on to finish third in a district qualifier last month at Bryan Park with a drive of 382 yards.
