30 girls have been named to the 2009 N.C. Girls’ All-State Golf Teams by the Carolinas Golf Association and the Tarheel Youth Golf Association, honoring those junior golfers who have had the most success in amateur and junior golf events at the local, state, regional and national levels over the past 12 months.

Three Events Remain on 2009 Order of Merit Tour Standings!!

Two 1-Day Events Next Week
The PKBGT will make a return trip to Cabarrus Country Club in Concord, NC next Tuesday.  Cabarrus is host to the Cabarrus Classic, a EGolf Professional Tour event and features challenging greens and a good test of golf.
 
The PKBGT will make its first visit to Meadowlands Golf Course in Winston-Salem next Thursday.  Meadowlands is a Hale Irwin designed course and a training center for Robert Linville’s …

Congratulations to Allison Emrey of Charlotte  who continued her rock solid play by shooting even par 72 on Course #5 in the final round of the North South Championship at Pinehurst.  Emrey, a multiple champion on the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Tour, won by 2 shots over Precision student Katherine Perry and Collins Bradshaw.  Lori Beth Adams also had a very good tournament which she capped off by shooting 73 the final round .  Lori Beth finished 7th.  Lane Gaekler and Katie Kirk tied for 12th.

Allison Emrey has a one shot lead going into the final round at Pinehurst CC.  The girls played Course #8 the first day and Course #2 for the second round.  The final round will be played on Course #5.   Allison sits at 4 under after 36 holes.
Several Precision students are playing very well also.  Katherine Perry is 2 under and 2 shots back.  Katie Kirk is tied for 7th at 3 over, 1 shot ahead of Lori Beth Adams.  lane Gaekler is 9 over and tied for 13th.

Courtney Taylor edged out defending champion Katherine Perry by one stroke in the Peggy Kirk Bell Spring Championship held at Salisbury Country Club.  Taylor, who will be attending UNCG this fall, shot 76-70 to finish the tournament at 4 over. Katherine Perry, winner of 3 PKB events this spring season, shot 74-73 to finish one back at 147.
