The next Looney’s event is this Sunday, the Tour Championship at Little River Resort. Play will be a Shotgun Start at 12:30 PM followed by a cook-out and awards ceremony.
PRACTICE ROUND / LODGING OPTION: Each team in the Championship is invited to stay the weekend and have a practice round on Saturday. We will also have a cookout Saturday night. If you want to have a practice round, call Little River at 910-949-5013. Let them know you are going to play a practice round. There is a $55 cost per team …

Congratulations to Trevor and Phillip Blevins for shooting a 2 over par 74. Also congrats to Joshua and Mark Gillis for firing a 43 to capture the 8 & Under crown. Great playing guys!
The next Looney’s event is the Tour Championship at Little River. What a treat this will be! Come join us on Sunday, August 29th.

What a great time we had at Chapel Ridge. The golf course was in great shape.
On the first tee, Jeff really showed why he won the Long Drive event in Cabo San Lucas. Several of his tee shots were measured at 390 yards.
Congratulations to all who placed including event champions Samantha & Ted Bonham and a special congratulations to Gabrielle and Gary Jewel for continued improvement. They have showed improvement on their score in every event. Keep up the great work!

We really had a great time at Mill Creek today. Even though the greens looked bad being brown, they sure putted very smooth and fast.
I think the Staff at Mill Creek went way beyond the call of duty when the gave each and every player free gift certificates to come back and play again.WOW.
I have to say WOW again for the 35 Madison and Garrett Clark shot. Great playing everyone!

Hello Everyone,
Great Parent Child Tournament! We had some great scores on Sunday. Nick and Spyros Kroustalis owned Tanglewood with a 2 under par 70. Great round. We welcome Jeffrey and Brian Dyck to the Looney’s Tour. They played great shooting an 81, winning the Adult division.
I also have to mention Josh and Tom Brake. Josh has developed a self taught “5 step” swing. It must have worked, they shot an 81.

We had a great time yesterday at Whispering Pines CC. I know several of you got soaked from that big storm that caused our hour and a half rain delay. I hope everyone made it home safe.
I know everyone enjoyed Jeff Crittenden on the first tee. WOW, he can mash a golfball. His long drive 445 yards. I know Zach Griffis loved his tee shot from Jeff. Zach hit a gap wedge to within 2 feet and made a 3. Great shot!

Event Recap:
We had a great time out at Bemuda Run CC West course today. It was cooler than expected and breezy but everyone play through it. There were some great scores turned it. Trevor and Phillip Blevins carded a tremendous 66. Wow great playing. Lily Sessions had an eagle on #14. She holed out from the fairway. Madison and Garrett Clark continue to lead the 8& under with a 41.

J P Looney’s kicked off the first event of the Parent Child Tour, at Jamestown Park Sunday in Jamestown, NC.
On a chilly blistery day, Madison and Garrett Clark dominated the 8 and Under Flight with a 38.
Kayla and Rusty Smith teed it up for the first time and took the 9-11 Flight with an 88. Benjamin and Cowan Griffin captured the 12-14 Flight with an incredible 75. In the 15-17 Flight, Jacen and David Moore brought home the 1st place trophy with a 77 and in the Adult Division, Jessi …

Southern Pines, NC — This past Sunday marked the season ending championship for the J.P. Looney’s Parent Child Golf Tour at Talamore Golf Resort. The day was picture perfect as the best parent child combinations in North Carolina competed for the 2009 crown.
The overall winners on the day were Chase & Cecil Moore of Oak Valley GC who posted a 73 on the day pulling them to third place on the year in the 2009 Points Race.
