Greensboro, NC. –(September 3, 2010) – LPGA/USGA Girls Golf of Greensboro, a program of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, held their fall free introductory clinic on August 28.  The clinic was held at Bur-Mil Park with 6 members of the UNCG Women’s Golf Team.

Greensboro, NC - August 17, 2010 - Malin Lundegard made a hole in one playing for her team at Northwest High School on Tuesday.  Lundegard, a Precision Golf student of Chris Haarlow, is the first female golfer to make an ace for the Northwest Vikings during the girls’ high school golf season.  She hit an 8 iron 123 yards at the Farm Course at Greensboro Country Club to help the lady vikings.

Kirk sets the field ablaze with final round 67!
Greensboro, NC— The final round of the Precision Junior Girls Championship finished up yesterday at Bryan Park GC. The Championship marked the third and final major of the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour determining official 2010 Order of Merit rankings and PKB Fall Invitational honors.

Holly Spring, NC (8/8/10) - 54 holes after the tournament began, Precision student Emily Brooks found herself wrapping up 2nd place in the 6th Annual Dogwood State Championship.  The event was played at The Club at 12 Oaks in Holly Springs, NC.  Brooks, a student of Robert Linville, made up six shots on winner Sarah Bae’s 36 hole lead after the final round of even par 72.

Salisbury, NC (8/8/10) - Payne McLeod of Reidsville holed a 7-foot birdie on 18 to win the 1st North Carolina Amateur Championship 1-up over reigning North Carolina Amateur (stroke play) champion Ryan Heisey of Greensboro.  The event was contested at the Country Club of Salisbury. The finalists combined for a total of 13 birdies and an eagle in their 18-hole match.

Greensboro, NC. – July, 2010 – Triad Youth Golf Foundation is holding their 9th Annual Charity Classic Pro Am on Monday, September 27th at the Bryan Park Golf and Conference Center.  The Charity Classic Pro Am supports TYGF’s mission to grow local youth golf initiatives.  The event will specifically benefit the Mike Goodes Scholarship Fund.  The fund will lend a helping hand to aspiring young golfers who demonstrate dedication and passion in developing their skills.  The scholarship offers support for those starting the game and those excelling in it.

Lexington, NC - July 12, 2010 - Precision Golf Students, Katherine Perry and Taelor Rubin qualified for the US Women’s Amateur Championships this past Monday.  Perry, a student of Robert Linville,  shot a 68 to finish 1st in the qualifier.  Rubin, a PGS student, placed 3rd in the qualifying to claim a spot in the US Women’s Amateur Championship after shooting a 72. 
Perry and Rubin are both participants in the Bell division of the Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour.  Perry is currently ranked 4th on the Peggy Kirk Bell Tour Order of Merit …

Southern Pines, NC - July 11 - Precision Golf student, Casey Ward, had an outstanding showing at the Big “I” Qualifying tournament this weekend at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club.  Shooting 70-70 for a 2 under 140 to win the tournament, Ward will now advance into the Big “I” championship field.  Lori Beth Adams, a Precision Golf student, tied for 2nd place finishing one shot behind Ward in the standings.  Precision Golf School would also like to congratulate Emily Brooks who shot her career low round of 69 in …

PGS student and Peggy Kirk Bell Tour alumni , Brianna Clemmons, earns All-America Scholar honors in her first season at Gardner Webb.  Clemmons, a native of Oak Ridge, excelled at Northwest Guilford High School as a four year letter winner and state champion.
Clemmons played in five events for GWU on the season.  She carded a three round score of 257, +44 at the 2009 UNCG Starmount Fall Classic in the fall, and finished tied for 20th-place with a score of 244, +28 at the 2010 Winthrop Intercollegiate in the spring.  She also …
